    Hello TOSC Users!

We don't post frequently but we are always working behind the scenes! Since we launched Talk of Sun City it has been our goal to bring together residents of Sun City communities across the country as well as be a reference and educational resource for those considering moving to and making a Sun City community their home. Footnote: We are not affiliated with the developer in any way! This is an open discussion community for the users.

This is an important notice for all user of TOSC. In an effort to keep up with the ever changing internet and mobile experiences we are doing a massive upgrade and update to the TOSC website. No one likes changes including us here on the TOSC team but it is a necessary upgrade we need to make for the search engines like Google, for the mobile experiences on phones and ipads, as well as security and spam.

What should you expect? On tomorrow night Thursday 12/7 we will overnight shut down the site and migrate over to the new website. You may experience some down time but our goal is to be back up and running on Friday 12/8.

You will use your same user name and log in credentials as you have. The way you navigate and create discussions will look and feel different and we apologize for the change and having to relearn these steps. But after a short period of time we hope you find it to be better and easier to use.

There will likely be some 'glitches' so please be patient with the migration and feel free to post here any issues you experience or anything we can do to improve.

Thanks for all your support of TOSC and these upgrades!!!

    Best Regards,

    TOSC Team

I also want to thank you for keeping all the spammers out of this forum. They were really running rampant for awhile but you seem to have discouraged any continued efforts. It would be great to have a smooth transition to your new format!

Great question! If you hover your mouse over your user name a drop down box will appear and the log off button is there.

Admin I looked at the members page. It gives the number of posts and then also number of likes and trophies. I don’t see where to like something and what are trophies?

To the Admin's and other support as well, thank you. This site is great for the Sun City Communities. I posted under "It wasn't me" a suggestion for a way to advertise TOSC with an upcoming Sun City event. I was looking for a positive way to spread the word about this marvelous feature to others who are from Sun City, looking to enhance their living in Sun City. Again, thank you, you folks are much appreciated.

Admins -- please consider installing an add-on to xenforo to allow the user to select sort order within a thread -- I really really prefer to have the latest post in a thread at the top, oldest at the bottom. Thanks.

If you look to the far right you should see 'like' and 'reply' options. Trophies are just ways to recognize users for their participation and how many post and threads they participate with.

Admin - can you explain how the View count gets incremented.

Does add to view count if you are logged in?
Does it dd to view count every time someone reads the thread whether logged in or not?

    Thanks.
