I tend to let your snarky comments go without rebuttal SW, but i need to address this shithole comment; again. Roughly one third of Sun City's population lives in Phase 1. The vast majority of them are delighted by their choice to move there. The small percentage of homes where there are issues or concerns take far too long to resolve. That should fall squarely in the laps of SCHOA working in conjunction with the Maricopa County Sheriff's department.

While i get your concerns about board members being better versed on Sun City (which i agree with by the way), the residency requirements for becoming a senator or member of the house in AZ is simply to reside in the state they are running in. Frankly, i'm more concerned by RCSC candidates who are recruited to run who have virtually no other agenda than protecting the the thing they participate in. Specifically the two golfers running to protect their full play passes and the purchase of full play passes by non-residents.

    Insanity personified; indeed.

I am considering picking up trash. Would you like to help? Or are you one of those do as I say, not as I do people?

I was under the impression that Jim Rough had only lived in SC about a year before being appointed to the Board. Might be going on two or three years now.

    Janet,
That could be, current residence purchased 5/2022, thought I located a prior one…will retract until confirmed.
If not, wonder how he was appointed by the board. More curiously, he did run unsuccessfully, as a candidate for the 2023-25, director term after only living here a few months!
    Thanks!

When you have lived here as long as have you can have the right to say that. After 20 plus years here I can hardly go to the store.

And btw I find that the folks from Washington think that they are entitled. People south of Grand need to open up their wallets and start showing pride to our community. You come down here and are so busy that you disregard your properties. It makes me sick. You don't see this north of Grand because they care about what their neighbors think.

I attended the SC Players annual mtg. and was surprised at the support Plan M received. For months it seemed there was no way anyone was going to consider anything less than something on a grand scale, but it seems M has respect for the old but strong bones of the Mountain View theater while incorporating many of the desired improvements. Some folks had studied some similar projects of the architect which convinced them incorporating the old with new can be economical, functional, and aesthetically pleasing. Sounds promising.

I just dont see it. I dont like throwing $13.1M at fix up. Makes no sense.

I believe plan M is a good starting point. It makes sense to me to also enclose some of the pb courts, along with other modifications. More will be revealed as the BOD moves along in their decision making.

Understood Paul. Marlene described the renovation for the PAC as being almost a complete gut job. And I believe less than $13.1 million can get the job done. Tone down the PAC and fitness area and use money to enclose some pb courts. Remove lb green at MV if space is needed?

$13.1m is more than fitness, pool, and pickleball combined. How is this using data and facts? Fitness needs to be bigger than plan m. It could be reduced from plans a-c, but definitely bigger than M.

Understood, but plan M is not considered a done deal. There is still suppose to be plenty of room for compromise and modifications. Has the board decided how the project is to move forward?
