Ok. This weather is crazy. I feel like I am back in Michigan, temps in the low 90's and high humidity. Gray skies complete this crazy picture. The only thing that grounds me and reminds me I am in Arizona is the cactus! Is this what monsoon season is like? :sentimental:
And I feel like I am back in the state of Washington. I do think this is what monsoon is like. Grey skies are really unusual in Az. We are fortunate in SC that we do not have flooding. Monsoon season effects you according to where you live.
FLOOD INSURANCE ! ! Most regular Home owners Insurance does NOT cover Flood Insurance - - Could be a bad, horrible thing ready to happen... Check with your Insurance - - and also Check Out Flood Insurance ( especially if you are in a Flood-Zone).
A Gloomy Day - - But we got some nice little on and off sprinkles ! ! What do ya do on a gloomy day ? No sun, so no pool.... Went to gym--- laid around -- a bit of T.V. - a little TOSC -- THEN - got lazy. Guess we (Arizonans) are used to those sunny days to keep us perked up ! :lemo:
And when it rains during monsoon season, it can really pour fast and furious and dangerous. This clip is from Utah, but shows what might come your way in a "dry river bed"--unreal--like lava! Anyone ever seen anything like this? http://www.youtube.com/embed/_yCnQuILmsM?feature=player_embedded
