    The
Perseids meteor shower will peak about August 11-13.

The Perseids are so-called because the point from which they appear to come lies in the constellation Perseus.

I know that Arizona has places of dark sky, but what about Sun City? Are you able to see many stars?

I can ususally see the meteor showers from my courtyard in Sun City.
If you drive out beyond Sun City, into the desert, the view is better.
