HILO HOT DOGS 1 c. apricot preserves 1/2 c. seasoned tomato sauce (I used katsup) 1/3 c. vinegar 1/4 c. shortening 2 tbsp. soy sauce 2 tbsp. honey 1 tbsp. salad oil 1 tsp. salt 2 lb. frankfurters Combine the first 8 ingredients. Score franks on the bias and broil slowly on grill or cut into pieces and fry, turning and basting with sauce until hot through and glazed. Put in bowl with remaining sauce.
