And here we go. I hope you're ready for it. Paul Ryan just announced he's eliminating Medicare. He wants to replace it with private insurance. Look for the premiums to increase every year till you can barely afford it.

Paul Ryan has been talking about this for years. By the way he can't eliminate Medicare by himself.

But he can when he has the backing of president, senate, and house. No one is guarding the hen house any longer.

Paul Ryan has been trying to privatize Social Security and Medicare since 2004.

Attempts to privatize Social Security didn’t even get off the ground. The public
gave him an earful and it never went anywhere.

He now says that Medicare has to be privatized because of the ACA. The ACA
had absolutely nothing to do with Medicare. You can’t go to the ACA Market place and
    get Medicare.

Trump said he would not touch Medicare and Social Security during his campaign,
but with a Republican House and Senate he may be persuaded to think otherwise.

Trump has proposed a 6.2 trillion tax cut. In order to achieve that there will most
definitely have to be cuts somewhere else. Medicare and Social Security are prime
    targets.

Your Medicare premium has been going up by small amounts for years. The ACA had
absolutely nothing to do with this. Medical costs have been rising steadily for the past
20 years and they will continue to go up for the rest of your life.

If you have Medicare, hopefully you also have supplemental insurance to cover the
costs that Medicare does not pay. Even supplemental insurance has been rising
    year after year.

Medical care is not cheap and whether they repeal the ACA or not, healthcare costs
will surely rise every single year.

These kinds of stories are rife across the net as the the folks on the right are drunk with power. All of the nonsense of tax cuts across the board are ridiculous on their face; the rationale of the cuts generating a massive growth in the economy are laughable. We watched the same silliness from Reagan and these are far more onerous.

Think about this: Do you think for one minute major corporations are coming back to this country and employing millions of workers in factory jobs? If the stimulus is great enough, they'll come back and build plants with the majority of the work done by robotics. They can run 24/7, have no worker benefit costs and are far more reliable. The reality is machines/technology is the future.

Third world countries where wages are under $1 an hour have to keep those workers employed so technology isn't a priority. Nice to dream of returning to the 1950's but it won't be happening any time soon.

If the republicans shove through these tax cuts, the only thing we can be assured of hyper-inflation. Then when they panic, they'll be looking at ways to bail themselves out by going after the social programs with big ticket price tags.

Scary times coming guys, no matter of party affiliation. Righties better celebrate the trump victory now, because when the stuff hits the fan, we're all going to pay.

One ray of sunshine though; the biggest tax cuts will be for the most wealthy and will insure they continue to have it all. Perfect.

Every time a Republican gets in he gives cuts to the rich and the budget takes a dive, Reagan created a deficit with his wealthy people cuts...it took years for Clinton to balance it. Bush created a huge deficit and plunged us into recession. Obama cut the debt by a trillion in his 8 years. Now Trump. Trump knows it but will use the same cuts to the wealthy that always sets us back. Here he is saying how Democrats are better at it.
