My most recent APS bill was $154.00

976 Total 440 On Peak 536 off peak

Last year bill for same period was $127.00

I have the program that is on peak 9-9 during week
And off peak all day Saturday & Sunday.
The program is no longer available.

Needless to say, I do laundry and use dishwasher on Sat or Sun.

Also, I have a gas stove top and gas water heater.

Not sure if figures are good or bad. It was warmer than last year.

    Others?

My bill was 134.70. I'm on the Standard Rate plan and have been for the last 18 years.

As you said, it was slightly warmer this year for the same period so my bill is slightly higher. Last year for the same
period it was 123.46. This year 134.70.

Total kwh for this year was 846.
Total kwh for last year was 786.

I have an electric range (rarely used) and gas water heater.

Your bill doesn't appear to be out of line.

Look at the second page of your bill and see what rate plan you are on. It should be about 3 lines down from the top.

My bill compared to someone who is on Combined advantage is lower.
Combined advantage has a demand charge which can substantially drive your bill up.

Just using your AC during demand hours will raise your bill.

Do you have thermal pane windows? Extra insulation in attic? Use ceiling fans?

Your on peak costs may be higher if the on peak hours include the dinner hour.

I added attic insulation last year and so far the benefits are seen in lower electric bills.

I can probably do some other modifications like closing in the window between my sink on the garage wall and insulating
the opening before closing it in. Also, the door to the garage has a window in it that is not code. If I replace that with
a fire rated, insulated door I would expect even further savings.

Another thing I've done is replace every light bulb with Cree LEDs. Dramatic difference.

I make changes each year that bring my bills down each year.

What is your average kwh usage for a year? if it is 600 kwh or below, you may qualify for Extra Small (Flat rate)
if Mandatory Demand charges are approved by the ACC.

I keep thermostat at 82. If it gets too warm late in afternoon, I put it down to 80 but I soon get too cold.
At night I keep it at 78 and ac rarely goes on. I have a fan in every room even the enclosed back porch. 9 in all.

I do not have thermo windows but might have one put in the front bedroom that gets morning sun. I do have sunscreens. I keep all blinds closed except for kitchen. I keep garage windows open just a bit for cross ventilation.

Per SCR's suggestion, I will check again on yearly average. I think the last time I did it I came up under 600
