Today, July 19, 2013, is National Daiquiri Day. A Daiquiri is a family of cocktails whose main ingredients are rum, citrus (typically lime juice), and sugar or other sweetener. The Daiquirà was supposedly invented by an American mining engineer who happened to be in Cuba at the time of the Spanish-American War. Someone gave me daiquiri that has been sitting in my freezer. I guess today is the day to try it. You can buy the container at Walgreens and put it in the freezer. Do you like Daiquiris?
