    Today, November 27, 2013 is National Bavarian Cream Pie Day.

    Bavarian Cream Pie is a rich and gelatinous pie that uses egg whites, gelatin, and whipped cream to create a custard. The custard can also be flavored. It is then poured into a pie shell and chilled. After chilling, the custard can be topped with various sliced fruits, toasted coconut or shaved chocolate.
