Today, October 10, 2013, is National Angel Food Cake Day.

Angel Food cake, or Angel cake, is a type of sponge cake originated in the United States that first became popular in the late 19th century. It is so named because of its airy lightness that was said to be the "food of the angels".

Give this recipe a try. Delicious!

Take a box of Angel Food Cake mix
(just contents of box, no need to follow directions on box),
combine with a 20 ounce can of crushed pineapple in its own juice
(No need to use a mixer, just stir it with a spoon)
When... you do this, something magical happens.
The mixture starts to froth & it turns into
an amazingly airy, fluffy bowl of deliciousness
Once it's all mixed up pour it into a greased 9 x 13 cake pan
    & bake 350 for 30 minutes
