Algodones is a small Mexican town located on the extreme northeastern tip of the municipality of Mexicali, approximately 9.9 miles west of Yuma, It has become a popular tourist attraction due to inexpensive shopping and restaurants as well as inexpensive medical care and prescription medicines. Algodones has fiestas throughout the year, most notably around the Christmas season.
A nice place to visit, shop and buy medical items as well as dental & eye wear. Many of my friends visit there - - a nice day trip.
