Wishing you all a good Thanksgiving, too. We'll be attending a church feast but I did buy a turkey to prepare on Sunday so we'd have leftovers!
We went to the Country Club as well. Enjoyed it. We got there a little after noon thinking we'd probably hit the rush but it didn't fill up until we were about done.
Because we at Thanksgiving dinner at church, I'm going to get my turkey into the oven this morning which will help to warm up the house, too! It's a small Butterball but just the right size to have some good leftovers for the week.
For you people out there that are justing doing a turkey breast (brine it before cooking), I found a recipe to cook it in a crockpot and turned out wonderfully. Want crispy skin, put under broiler for several minutes. Never worry about a dry turkey again, very juicy. The site is Feasting at Home.
