I recently watched the Commander-in-Chief of the US military om national and international TV yell at a father saying, "Your son was dishonorably discharged from the Navy" and it was a lie. When I discussed this with a trump supported the answer I got was, 'They all lie." Not like that they don't. So yes, vote.

PBS Channel 8 has been doing such a good job bringing us the debates for our local races. We've seen the Corporation Commission, Lesko/Muscato, McSally/Kelly and upcoming on Friday is the MCSO Sheriff's candidates debate. Some have been painful to watch and I'm glad they can't hear my comments.

Polls are open today for early voting & ballot drop off in select locations. We intend to vote in person when voting is open at Mountain View beginning October 27th. Don't want to vote too early as so much can happen between now and November 3rd!!

I, for one, can think of very few things that would change my vote between now and November.

There will be a ballot drop-off box at the Bell Library beginning Monday October 19th with hours 9am - 7pm. This will be monitored and a safe place to vote early.

As an aside, there's a live indoor TRUMP Rally in Florida right now titled "Protecting America's Seniors" which is being televised by C-Span. 10 minutes before the start it shows the chairs distanced but people milling about and only about 50% wearing masks. Amazing to watch as the rally is about to begin the audience starts to don masks but there are photos being taken of people standing shoulder to shoulder after removing their masks. Lots of handshakes and touching. Another super spreader in the making but a great video to show how NOT to protect seniors.

Thanks for the tip, I have not opened my ballot yet for a long list of reasons, but now I know what to do with it when I am done.

    IMPORTANT!!
Arizona doesn’t count mailed ballots if they’re received after 7 p.m. on Election Day. That’s why Secretary of State Katie Hobbs is urging those who want to vote by mail to send those ballots back no later than today(October 27th).

UGH! At least the calls, ads & junk mail have stopped. Would like to sleep through the next 3 days until everything is somewhat resolved.

And here we are! The weather is improving and we will have a regime change that will hopefully change the direction of our fight against COVID. Thank you to all that made the effort to vote. I hope we have a peaceful transition and a brighter future ahead of us!

    I'm watching the News too.
But America should not take off it's collective seat belt yet.

As a former librarian (and current volunteer - when they are used) you do not need to "rent" materials from the library, they are free. As far as the other thing goes, a wise American once said, "It ain't over until it is over."

You had me worried there E, and then you took the post down. It was hardly offensive, but at this point it simply does not matter whether he follows the norms and offers up his congrats and concession. I almost think it's better if he doesn't. The sooner we let him slink off into the sunset, the sooner we can get back to healing the country and dealing with the pandemic like adults. And for anyone wondering why the republicans should give Biden better treatment than trump got, here's an analogy for you: Walk into a tavern and start throwing punches at anyone and everyone, you quickly become persona non grata. On the other hand, walk in and buy everyone a drink and life becomes way more manageable than the one where you are throwing punches. Being a "fighter" is way over-rated.

The Republicans will give Biden beter treatment than they did trump because he is going to push the "real" Republican agenda much more effectively than trump did. Watch and see what 'working across the isle "really means.
