It's been a tough summer. Spent a good part of it down and out from prostate issues. By the time i got through them, we had begun the remodel of the Museum and that has been my focus. It truly is exciting to see where we are headed. Lots of hours but once we get it done i suspect residents and visitors alike will be amazed. I start every morning with news feeds and then selected sites with stories that peak my interest. I've mentioned before 55Places and while not posting much there any more, i still like to keep up with changing trends in age restricted communities. They do lots of "lists" of the best of during the year and much of it is driven by their own diagnostics. I was delighted to open the site the other day and see this header: The 25 Best Value Active Adult Communities of 2020. Low and behold, our very own Sun City AZ was named number 1. Click on the header above to read the article.
Thank you for info re Sun City being "Best Valued 55 Community". I plan to sharfe information with many people.
Thanks E. We got it, the living room is drop dead gorgeous. The bedroom is nearly done, the kitchen has some added touches and the Freeman room will tell the Sun City story in detail few have seen.
Not ignoring you 3gen; just needed to wait for us to give our members a first look. The museum is going to remain closed for another month or two and when we do open, it will likely be for members first. Like every organization has been hit by COVID19, it has placed us in a tough position. Rather than going into a shell, we went the other direction. We have turned the museum upside down and are excited about where we are headed. New exhibits will showcase our amazing collections while the vintage look in living room, bathroom, bedroom and kitchen will get the nostalgia juices flowing. Lots of new little odds and ends will make people feel good, something all of us need these days. Here's a link to our facebook page with the some of those changes (click on the sentence).
