I just discovered you can request they play music that you like at the rec centers! I am excited about this, especially since I would like to hear more upbeat, energy driven music in the workout room!

Has anyone requested music be played in their rec center?

I am interested to know this.. I love music in the workout rooms... Would music in the rec center make it better?

I wonder how they will handle a request for Led Zeppelin? I would certainly go faster on the treadmill to the Cadillac song (Been a Long Time) lol. I do hear some good classic rock coming from the Lakeview center...and just a few years ago it was Benny Goodman.

It would be cool if they could figure out a way where we'd be offered some choices like the old jukebox machine so each of us could be guaranteed at least a couple that we really like each time, but then again, I guess that's what iPods are for. I just prefer not having to wear earbuds and such....

I think the jukebox would be a nice touch but have it play everything.... I personally like my Zeppelin and also the stones, etc..

We love to play L.Z and The Who and boy do we get some funny looks from neighbors lol. The guy across the street used to blast Benny Goodman from his golf cart...and I like B.G as well as classic rock. But I can imagine some of the Zeppelin lyrics would make some of the older gals faint....they just don't write songs like that anymore hahahah.

I am reading a biography on Keith Moon, the deceased drummer for The Who by Tony Fletcher, simply titled "Moon". What a character, both funny and sad he was, and one of the best books I have read in a long time. His stories are still being told today. Anyone else read classic rock biographies that you want to share? I have one on Eric Clapton to read next.
