I am about to read this again. It covers the advancements in medicine at the turn of the century and I was amazed that in 1918 they still bled people and did not wash hands. This influenza came to and spread with American troops, exploding and killing over 100 million people worldwide. It killed more people in 24 hours than AIDS has killed in 24 years. Scary stuff but a very good book.
