This effort won't require any money or much time out of your busy schedule. There needs to be a campaign to do something about the excessive requirements and training program currently instituted by the courts. The first step can be letters, phone calls or emails to Supervisor Clint Hickman, Debbie Lesko and if possible Judge Snow. The amount of hours and type of training that is now required of the Sun City Posse VOLUNTEERS has greatly expanded to nearly that of sworn weapon carrying MCSO deputies! None of the Sun City Posse members carry firearms, cannot make car stops and cannot issue tickets. What can help? The training should be limited to incidents that the Posse would be exposed to and required to respond to in the normal course of their duties. The training should take place at either the readily available rooms at the Sun City Posse headquarters or at the District 3 MCSO Office in Surprise. The VOLUNTEERS shouldn't be required to make numerous trips for long sessions in Phoenix! The few dedicated members of the Posse are putting in excessive hours and need to increase their numbers. Let's try to help them out before we no longer have a Sun City Posse but just a neighborhood patrol.
