    Not a good idea

Ok, I don't have the pdf on my phone, but I have to say it's NOT a good idea to turn the consolidation of clubs over to the management. It mays seem like a good thing because Sun City has sane, rational and fair management folks in place now.

But what if that changes down the road? These same management folks we have now will someday retire. Suppose new management that comes in after them is not so sane, rational or fair? It could happen. Think about it. The unthinkable happens every day.

Please keep this decision a board of directors decision. Thank you.

As you watched in the video at the Member/Exchange, it is a horrible idea to allow management the ability to consolidate clubs. Management runs the RCSC like a business, the board treats it like a community. Pretty simple equation in my mind.

I sure hope they reconsider this and decide to keep it with the board. It's disturbing that this is even on the agenda. It erodes even further the lack of control the community has over its own decisions and destiny and underscores the ongoing loss of self-governance.

On the video of the member/exchange, it was refreshing to see one the candidates running, Dale Lehrer, speak out about this issue. Good to know where she stands and is willing to say so in front of God and everyone. Speaks volumes in my book.

Why was this change even considered in the first place? It doesn't make sense. Is there a logical reason for this that I'm not seeing or some point that I'm missing?

It obviously is coming from the staff. Dumb.

But, as an older second generation Sun Citian and friend pointed out to me at the last annual meeting, since the board represents the people, the board should be dictating to the staff not the other way around.
    No?
