I just read an angry rant from someone on Facebook about how he hates Sun City and can't wait to move out. He mentioned that the TV monitors in the all the Rec centers are tuned to Fox News and it's Neal Sedaka type music piped in. Please tell me that is not true.

So what's wrong with Neil Sedecka? Just kidding C. I find the music in the pools and workout areas to be quite good. 50's, 60's and 70's and geared to boomers. Nothing wrong there i would hope.

There are monitors in the workout rooms and they are on several different stations. The Bell fitness room probably has a dozen or more televisions going and the channels can be changed by the monitors to meet the request of someone walking on a treadmill.

Every now and then i come across people like this one who just plain hates everything and loves to bitch.

Whew! Thanks BP. I welcome a mix of stuff but I imagined this Orwellian promotion of Fox News and love songs. :glee: Yeah, that guy was laying it pretty thick and got a few others to chime in and agree. He said he's moving to Colorado. Hope he likes cold and snow.

You can please some people some of the time.....
I'm not a big news fan personally, doesn't really matter if it is FOX or CNN, etc., it is usually sensationalized bad news or biased in some way. Put on Mash, Hogan's Heros, etc.. Put on what ever... it is just noise IMHO.
The guy can have CO, I'll gladly trade places. Not that I like 115 degree summer heat, but I hate below 30s, below 20s, etc. and that white stuff that falls once in a while.

The trade off of heat vs cold is a no brainer.
With heat you just turn on the AC in the house and car.
And, you can walk outside without slipping and sliding.

Also, it is very easy to drive in falling sunshine!

I grew up in Chicago and also live in Denver for a while. If he hasn't experienced that weather before he's for in an awakening. I stick to PBS news these days. It still has many of the same overworked stories but sounds much less frantic. And it's only one for one hour, not 24.

What time is news on PBS in the early evening?
I like that channel for special programs.
Unfortunately, Lawrence Welk does not see, to be on anymore.

Not just some jerks in the centers whining but we appear to have at least one on this site trying to trash it.I think i may revisit the conspiracy theory thing.

Yes that person has a lot of spare time. Of course I haven't clicked on the links but I think it's more malicious than conspiracy.

I don't click but I do report them all when I see them. Starting to feel like the spamadmin. At least they sent me a thank-you email for doing it. If we don't report and let it stay it will take over the list. I refuse...
