the indoctrination continues from EPCOR/how great it is! Hopefully Sun City will show up and show/voice their disapproval!

The filing from SCHOA to ACC was 7/18/17 for rehearing.

Just saying here: If you are in town on Monday, 7/24, you really, really need to get your butt in a chair at the Sun Dial auditorium. This meeting is part of the process that EPCOR has to go through. If nothing else, they need to hear just how angry we are over having this shoved down our throats and up our (decency prevents me from saying it).

The reality is this: Everyone wins except Sun City, Sun City West and Youngtown residents. It's true: the other districts get a significant savings, EPCOR gets far less paper work and the ACC reduces the number of rate cases to a single case. And developers will continue to build out in the boondocks knowing we all will absorb higher costs.

On the other hand, Sun City residents eat a massive increase to balance the budget for everyone else. Win/win? Hardly, we lose and this is our first shot across the bow to let them know how much we resent it. Watch as EPCOR tries to shade this all on it being the ACC as the driving force. They've wanted this from the day the bought the business.

Hope to see you all at Sun Dial at 4 pm this Monday.

Given the time of year. it was a good hostile crowd. Not that it mattered. This meeting is required by law and so they simply went through the motions. Imagine trying to convince people who are being screwed it was really in their best interest. The whole mantra was the ACC ordered it and the company was just following their wishes. And of course they kept reinforcing how by doing this, everyone would benefit because of :economies of scale. Utter nonsense.

What is clear now is they are immediately going after the water rate consolidation which is 11 districts. We are either the lowest or the second low, with many being significantly higher. What this will mean is your monthly water bill will more than double, so when you add that to the waste water 5 year fade in, some folks in Sun City will be looking at water bills approaching $100 a month. And the real kicker will come for those condo associations that have all grass areas, ouch.

The good news is a couple of us were able to plug the SCHOA lawsuit and the importance of people donating to help fund it.

At least they know we're not going down without a fight. No sense in making it easier for them.
