Does anyone know?

Anyone living in Sun City AZ has probably driven past the empty property on 103rd just across the railroad tracks up from Grand Ave. It's startling because it is one of the few open tracts of land in Sun City. I was asked to find out what used to be on the property and for now, i'm stumped.

I know the building sitting on Santa Fe and 103rd used to be Snyder Storage and Transfer Company. It may well have encompassed all of the land, but i can't find anything out for sure.

Anyone go back far enough to know what was on the land before whatever buildings were torn down?

It's owned by Sun Health Properties out of Sun City West. Maybe they would have some idea of what used to be on the property. I can't remember ever seeing buildings on the site.

Thanks aggie. I saw Paul Herrmann at the show last night. He's second generation and has been coming here for years and recalls there were a number of medical buildings all along 103rd that were tore down. You can see the old parking spaces and it makes sense given the location. Now the only question is; were they buildings that were part of the Sun Health family?

    Anyone know for sure?
