On the first question, approving a sanctioned event (1 per club per year) is a given so wasting the boards time on it is silly. A rubber stamp is a rubber stamp regardless of who does it. On the second concern, this was an effort to recognize the Sun Dial men's club yearly donation was at least that, hence no need to charge them a set-up fee for every Thursday night bingo games. If they had to pay a per chair fee every week, it would have been way higher. As board members, we all recognized the incredible value the SD Men's club brings to the community, so we structured this as a win/win. BTW, no one else comes close to covering that number.
Just a reminder.......The RCSC Board of Directors will hold a night meeting this month on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at 6:30pm at the Fairway Recreation Center, Arizona Rooms 1 and 2. The evening begins with a brief Social at 6:00pm during which time light refreshments will be served. My tip is to not read the managers' reports until they are being read out loud by the managers. This seems to hold my interest until we get to the more "live action" portion of the meeting.
Dang A, i always read the reports ahead of the live read aloud...just the way i'm built i guess. Interesting to note; seems to me I read they had pulled the change on the Sun Bowl being rented. Thank goodness.
