Our favorite place to eat is Firebirds on 83rd and 83rd at the sports complex in Peoria. There are so many restaurants there you can have fun exploring all of them.
Another good place is Hiachi on Grand and Bell. They have both tempura and sushi. Firebirds is a steakhouse and very classy but not very expensive and the steak is always good.

I can't think of an Italian place to eat in Sun City, but there is a good one just up Bell a ways called Tagliano's.

We had a fantastic breakfast this morning at the little Royal Cafe on Grand and 107th. Not much to look at but the food was great and very reasonable...3.99 for two eggs, sausage, french toast or pancakes. Cant beat that.

Welcome. We do have several mom and pops here. I want to try the Wow Cafe soon as I understand it is good and reasonable. Located in the Safeway center on Bell and Del Webb blvd. I shall report back when we do go.

Little Bite of Italy is a nice place to eat--especially with the entertainment on the weekends. It's close to Walgreens on Greenway/99th.

    Elephant Bar

I like the Elephant Bar on 83rd south of Bell. Sign up online and they will send you coupons.
Go during their lunch hours and get a Margarita for good price. You have to sit in the bar area tho.
    I usually order the soup/sandwich.

Yesterday my husband and I ate at WOW in the mall at Bell and Del Webb. This place is very busy in the winter and "slides by" during the summer. The food was good; quiet place. Patronize them to keep them alive. Saturday night the owner plays keyboard and sings from 5:30 - 8.

Here is another BREAKFAST BARGAIN. :playful:

George's Lakeview Cafe at Lakeview Rec Center:

    2 Eggs, Toast & Hash Browns or 2 Pancakes & 2 Eggs
    $2.99 7 am to 11 am

99 cent Coffee with purchase of any breakfast, lunch, or dinner

The Cafe has Daily Dinner Specials for $5.99

    Telephone - 623-876-3057

In another post I mentioned that the Cafe has a place for groups at no charge.
Maybe that's where TOSC could meet.

I'll check out their lunch menu.

I loved going to Elephant Bar when we had our office over nearby. The atmosphere is awesome.
I see the WOW café and we keep promising ourselves to go have a meal there.

I never saw Georges Café by the Lakeview center...I will look harder. Great prices for certain.

I mentioned in the other thread that we love going to Outback on Grand and it is always very busy. For finer dining...Firebirds on 83rd/83rd in the Peoria Sports Complex.

I hope this thread grows and develops.....we are always looking for good places to eat. We have our favorites, but love to try new places, especially with a recommendation.

Flemings SteakHouse on Northern Ave. is a favorite, so are Abuelos and P. F. Changs on 83rd. I have yet to find a really good, authentic, Italian restaurant around Sun City.

    Free meals

Watch for information, usually on 1 piece of colored paper, in the newspaper/s.

Financial, heating, and hearing aid places are always having seminars. You go and listen to a presentation then have a free lunch or dinner. I have been to quite a few.
